Lemon Honey Ginger Hot Toddy
Ingredients:1/2 cup Lemon Honey Ginger syrup2 cups water1/4 cup brandy or whiskeyLemon, cinnamon quill
Method:Put the syrup, lemon and water in a pan and heat gently on the stove. As soon as it’s boiling, remove from the heat and add brandy or whiskey. Pour into cups and garnish with lemon and cinnamon (or get creative with what you have at home!)
Spice Grrl
Ingredients:35mL Pineapple Lemongrass syrup35mL TequilaSoda water1/4 cup sliced Pineapple (canned from the cupboard is fine)1/8 Chilli sliced (try chilli flakes if you don’t have fresh)Mint leaves
Method:Put pineapple, mint and chilli (save some back for garnish) in your glass and muddle – with a rolling pin works well. Add ice, then pour over syrup and tequila, and top up with soda water. Stir and garnish with mint and chilli
Rum & Dandy
Ingredients:
30mL Orange & Dandelion Syrup30mL Light Rum20mL Lemon juice100mL Soda WaterRosemary, Lemon, Flowers
Method:Build in a tall glass over ice, top with soda water, add rosemary and use it to stir the drink. Garnish with lemon and edible flowers (if you have any in the garden). Cheers!
Strawberry Basil Moscow Mule
Ingredients:
5-6 strawberries (frozen or fresh)
5-6 basil leaves
30mL Ginger Ale Syrup
30mL vodka (optional)
Soda or sparkling water
Lime for garnish
Method:
Put strawberries and basil in the bottom of a glass – but save a bit back for garnish. Add syrup and vodka (or just syrup – this works well without the vodka too!), then muddle it all together with a rolling pin. Add ice, then top up with soda water and stir. Garnish with strawberries, basil and lime.
